He will also talk about his professional and personal ups and downs that brought him to sometimes radical decisions in order to be of service to his purpose: a world with clean energy for all.

Biography
Born half Persian, half Dutch and raised in Niger, West Africa, Arash (1977) was educated as a jazz musician and then pursued careers in music and tech, until he became director of a Dutch energy utility in 2006. In 2010 he founded the world’s first energy company that earns more as it sells less energy. Arash is now founder of Kamangir, an R&D agency creating solutions for a quickly digitalizing energy landscape. His main objective is to contribute to an “Internet of Energy”, enabling users world-wide to “download as well as upload” energy from abundant renewable resources. Besides his work for Kamangir Arash is a faculty member at Singularity University. He also is a mentor of social entrepreneurship at INSEAD Business School in Paris and he advises the European Commission and the Dutch government on long term strategies for energy and digitalization. Arash lives by the motto “Dream, Develop, Do”.
