Biography

Diederick Croese, currently the director of Quantum Delta’s Centre for Quantum & Society, is driven by the convergence of new technologies and society. His versatile background includes contributions to the European Space Agency’s HRE Innovation Board, as well as co-founding ventures like SingularityU Benelux, Minkowski, Wellboard, and the pioneering Applied Complexity.

In addition Diederick serves as a moderator of leadership programs focused on innovation and complexity for Comenius Leergangen. These programs span across The Netherlands, Finland, and Israel, highlighting his commitment to fostering transformative thinking on a global scale.

During his five years at Deloitte’s incubator, Diederick sparked innovation by co-founding Fast Ventures. This venture discovery platform, now integral to Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, utilizes semantic search to connect corporate giants with tech startups. Concurrently, he initiated Founder Institute Amsterdam, part of the global pre-seed startup accelerator network. Diederick’s executive directorship at TEDxAmsterdam showcases his commitment to nurturing intellectual discourse and innovation.

Diederick embarked on his professional journey in 2005 as a lawyer at law firm Clifford Chance. His academic foundation in law, acquired from the University of Amsterdam and Fordham University in New York, is complemented by his understanding of philosophy from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
